The medium size egg is a good overall choice for people who typically cook for a single family or couple. With a 15" diameter cooking grid the medium can handle around 6 burgers or 3 to 4 steaks. It can be purchased with or without the optional nest ( metal stand) and mates ( side shelves). Some egg owners like to build their own table or outdoor island and incorporate an egg grill into it. The medium size would do well for that as it doesn't require a great deal of space / counter depth. I wouldn't consider the medium size to be highly portable at 95 lbs but it is much easier to handle / load / unload than a large or XL size. I recently bought one of these for my dad and he loves it. He typically only cooks for my mom and himself so the medium size was all he really needed and it uses a bit less charcoal than the bigger sizes and also easier for him to roll around the carport.
